Sylt PWA 2016
10/11/2016
Sylt time is over, after ten days on this beautiful island in northern Germany!
It always seems at the beginning that ten days will be too long in this cold weather, and then time pass by too quick enjoying this unique atmosphere where you meet all the riders from all the countries and disciplines! (almost, missing slalom and freestyle girls).
So it’s been my third year in Sylt and my first time in the water here. The very first day we arrived, and actually only one hour after the cointaner with the gear from Hamburg arrived, I jumped in the water for my first heat. Not even time to put the stickers correctly and check Sylt conditions, that I was already competing and sailing for the first time ever in this really difficult onshore conditions.
I did not pass unfortunatly my heat, and this felt bad obviously as so far i am not permorming great on tour, but with all the great action from the freestyle and slalom guys and the great people around, I started enjoying a lot again the World Cup atmosphere.
It’s nice to see everyone from the Windsurf World ☺ ☝
Next: keep motivated for the next event in France, next season, next travels and dreams!
Thanks to Bit of Salt for keeping me warm!
